the three favourites so far……………..
The exquisite subtle shades of the window shutters in the town, catch my attention……………………….plus the typical Provencal house seen as a blur, from the TGV train , the further south we come, the more the house rooves turn to earthy red pigments, away from the paynes grey slates of the UK.
The French pooches are so stylish with attitude….
A trip to the local supermarket (not even a fresh fruit market needed here) reveals the local produce, of the region, that I love to paint.
Quince,( almost lemon in shape) apple, pear, tomato and les olives; the latter are a myriad of colours, the leaves are a combination of my favourite duo ; naples yellow ( the only opaque paint I use ) and viridian.
