I came across a group

of Ducks (Muscovy – I think ) they were waiting by the fence; it struck me that they were like anticipating guests, waiting to attend a Venice Masked ball.

This is my local park; so far I have found rich subject matter for the blog……………………..so far so good.

I chose to work from a photograph, once back at my studio……it didn’t seem a good idea with Mr. D in one hand and this group of ducks nearby, waiting until I had finished the sketch !

Wax resist was used for the feathers.
