Provencal light on the swimming pool……………………
The sunlight here is stronger, and shadows more constant; I am using Terry Harrisons mauve shade……..called Shadow.
Its hard to beat.
painted en pleine air….strong shadows are painted with a dark mauve slant !!
A sketch done late at night then worked up with more texture at a later date. (opaque white was flicked )
The water in the glass vase was worked upon & embellished in an abstract way.
The main technique used here is wet into wet, especially on the jug; the tulips were strengthened with colour when dry.
